How to help Los Angeles

How to help Los Angeles

As I sit here planning second markdowns and researching product for the Spring and Summer seasons, I realized that my best friend is in West Hollywood researching logistics and planning for FREE SHOP, an upcoming event by Free People for LA fire victims. At the moment we are on the same planet, but in two extremely different worlds.

So today, instead of celebrating the character of Conde Duque as planned (will share that post later), I wanted to share some resources from people and organizations I'm familiar with, in case you're feeling inclined to help the efforts for relief in Los Angeles.

The simplest way-no forms, no logins-is to Venmo the community-driven shop owner of Union LA, Kelly Geiman. She is making daily trips to Costco for essentials like soap, socks, air purifiers, blankets. Find her on Venmo at @kelly_geiman.

Baby2Baby has distributed 1.5 million emergency supplies including diapers, food, formula and water for children who have been impacted. They will continue to help families as they recover from this devastating loss for as long as it takes by providing the basic essentials they need.

Lastly, if you'd like to help an individual by supporting her business, please check out Danielle Paige. I've followed her for years and attended events where she has been a keynote speaker. She's not only incredibly gifted but is someone who gives all she has to those around her, and she lost everything. You can find her work here.

Thanks for reading and if you've made it to the end of this-a little treat awaits...first access to all January markdowns (second markdowns and new home decor and accessories) which go live in store on Wednesday.
